Question 1

What is in the Dalmore genuine leather sofa range?

Accepted Answer

It is a complete leather living-room range in one design, across five colours — tan, black, cream, grey and caramel. You can choose single 2 and 3 seater sofas, a full ladder of sofa sets (2+1, 3+1, 2+2, 3+2, 3+3 and three-piece 2+1+1, 3+1+1 and 3+2+1), plus matching armchairs and footstools. Because it is one coordinated range, you can furnish a whole room in a single, consistent look.

Question 2

Is the Dalmore range real leather?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every piece is described as genuine leather, meaning real leather rather than a bonded or synthetic alternative. Genuine leather is hard-wearing, breathable and develops a natural character over time. The exact grade and finish are not confirmed in the current data, so if the precise leather specification matters to you, please check the individual product page or call 02476 705 600 and we will confirm the detail for a specific model.

Question 3

What is the difference between genuine leather and faux or bonded leather?

Accepted Answer

Genuine leather is real hide, which is durable, breathable and ages attractively; faux (synthetic) leather is a man-made material, and bonded leather is made from leather fibres bonded together, both of which behave differently and generally do not wear in the same way. The Dalmore range is genuine leather. If you want to compare, our team can talk you through the options on 02476 705 600.

Question 4

What colours are available?

Accepted Answer

Five: tan, black, cream, grey and caramel. Tan and caramel are warm, natural browns — caramel a touch richer and more golden than tan; black is smart and practical; cream is a soft, light neutral; and grey is a cool contemporary tone. Screens vary, so treat the product images as a guide and, where possible, view the shade in person before ordering. Use the colour filter to see the exact options.

Question 5

How is caramel different from tan?

Accepted Answer

Both are warm, natural leather browns, but caramel is generally a little richer and more golden, while tan is a slightly lighter, classic mid-brown. They are close, so if the exact shade matters, compare the product images side by side or, ideally, view them in person, as leather colour can read differently under different lighting. Our team can help you decide on 02476 705 600.

Question 6

What sizes and configurations does the range include?

Accepted Answer

Single 2 and 3 seater sofas, plus sets: 2+1, 3+1, 2+2, 3+2, 3+3, and three-piece 2+1+1, 3+1+1 and 3+2+1. The numbers are the pieces, so a 3+2 is a three-seater plus a two-seater, and a 3+2+1 adds an armchair. There are also standalone matching armchairs and footstools. This lets you scale the range from a single sofa to a full three-piece suite with accessories.

Question 7

Are the armchairs and footstools part of the same range?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The armchairs and footstools are matching Dalmore genuine leather pieces designed to coordinate with the sofas, so you can complete a room in one consistent look. They can be bought alongside a sofa or set, or on their own. Note that a footstool is an accessory rather than seating, and stock of the individual pieces varies, so check the product page for the specific item you want.

Question 8

Does genuine leather crack or need special care?

Accepted Answer

Well-cared-for genuine leather is very durable and need not crack, but like all leather it benefits from being kept out of direct heat and prolonged sunlight, which can dry it, and from occasional conditioning. Day to day, wipe with a soft, barely damp cloth and blot spills promptly. Specific care codes and any recommended conditioner are not confirmed in the current data, so follow each product's care label.

Question 9

How do I clean a genuine leather sofa?

Accepted Answer

Wipe the surface with a clean, soft, dry or barely damp cloth to lift dust, and blot spills promptly rather than rubbing. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, solvents and abrasive pads, and keep the sofa away from radiators and out of prolonged direct sunlight. An occasional suitable leather conditioner helps keep it supple. Always follow the product care label, and test any product on a hidden area first.

Question 10

Should I choose a single sofa or a set?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your space and how many people you seat. A single 2 or 3 seater suits smaller rooms; a 3+2 or 2+2 set suits a family living room; and a three-piece set such as 3+2+1 or 2+1+1 suits a larger room where you want a coordinated suite. Because a set is several pieces, plan the combined footprint before ordering, and add a matching armchair or footstool if you want to complete the look.

Question 11

What does a set like 3+2+1 mean?

Accepted Answer

The numbers are the pieces: a 3 is a three-seater sofa, a 2 a two-seater and a 1 an armchair. So a 3+2+1 is a three-seater, a two-seater and an armchair; a 2+1+1 is a two-seater with two armchairs; and a 3+3 is two three-seaters. Choosing a set is simply a matter of how many people you want to seat and how much space you have.

Question 12

Is a genuine leather sofa a good choice for families or pets?

Accepted Answer

Genuine leather is a popular family choice because it wipes clean easily, does not trap odours the way some fabrics can, and is hard-wearing. It can scratch, so homes with pets may see some marks over time, though many people find these add to the character of leather. A darker colour such as black, or a warm tan or caramel, tends to disguise everyday marks better than a pale cream.

Question 13

How much space do I need?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the configuration. A single 2 seater suits a smaller room; a 3 seater or a 3+2 set suits most living rooms; and a large three-piece set such as a 3+2+1 or 3+3 needs a generous space. Exact dimensions are not confirmed in the current data, so plan the full footprint of a set, and always check the product-page measurements before ordering rather than judging by seat count alone.

Question 14

How do I measure and check delivery access?

Accepted Answer

Measure the length and depth of the space each piece will sit against, and for a set plan the full footprint. Then measure the width and height of every doorway, hallway, stairwell and tight turn each piece must pass through, plus lift dimensions if you are above ground level. Sets arrive as separate pieces, which helps; treat the product-page measurements as authoritative before ordering.

Question 15

Can the sofas be dismantled for delivery?

Accepted Answer

Whether a Dalmore sofa can be dismantled for delivery is not confirmed in the current data. Sets arrive as separate pieces, which helps with access, and some sofas may have detachable feet or backs, but this varies. Confirm the packaged dimensions of each piece before your delivery date, or call 02476 705 600 if a doorway or stairwell is likely to be tight.

Question 16

Which products are currently in stock?

Accepted Answer

At the time of writing, almost the entire range is in stock, with only a couple of footstools and one large set temporarily unavailable. A few of the grey pieces show low stock. Stock changes constantly, so treat the live product pages as authoritative. If a specific item shows as unavailable, use the back-in-stock option on its product page, or contact us on 02476 705 600 for advice on an alternative.

Question 17

Can I remove and wash the covers?

Accepted Answer

No — genuine leather sofas have fixed upholstery rather than removable covers, so the leather is cleaned in place rather than taken off and washed. Follow the care guidance for cleaning and conditioning instead. If you have a specific question about a particular piece, check the product page or call our team on 02476 705 600 and we will confirm the details.

Question 18

Can I return a sofa, and what is the return window?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer a 14-day returns window, sometimes described as 14-day change of mind, so you have time to be sure the sofa is right for your room. Because these are large items, please keep the packaging until you are certain and check the exact returns conditions. If you need to arrange a return, contact our team on 02476 705 600 and they will talk you through the next steps.

Question 19

What should I do if the sofa arrives damaged?

Accepted Answer

Inspect the sofa on delivery and report any damage or fault to us as soon as possible on 02476 705 600 with photographs of the issue. Keeping the packaging and noting any concern at the point of delivery helps us resolve things quickly. The sooner a problem is reported, the sooner we can arrange a repair, replacement or other suitable resolution.

Question 20

Do the sofas require assembly?

Accepted Answer

Assembly requirements are not confirmed in the current product data for this range. Many sofas arrive ready to use or need only feet attaching, and sets involve several pieces, but this varies. Please do not assume a particular setup. Check the individual product page, or call 02476 705 600 before ordering if access or assembly is a concern.

Question 21

What warranty applies?

Accepted Answer

We are not stating a specific warranty term for this range because the exact cover is not confirmed in the current product data, and we would rather leave it pending than quote a figure we cannot verify. Please check the individual product page, or contact our team on 02476 705 600, before ordering, and we will confirm what applies to a specific piece.

Question 22

How quickly is delivery, and is finance available?

Accepted Answer

The in-stock designs currently show a short delivery timeframe on their product pages; there is an internal wording point being resolved between the product-level message and our standard policy, so we treat the product-page timeframe as authoritative. Delivery is free to England and Wales by our two-person team. You can also spread the cost with PayPal Pay in 3, Klarna Pay in 3 or Pay in 30, Clearpay in 4 interest-free fortnightly payments, or DivideBuy, interest-free where stated and subject to credit check.

Question 23

Can I buy pieces separately and add to a suite later?

Accepted Answer

Many pieces in the range can be bought individually — for example a single sofa, an armchair or a footstool — but matching a later purchase depends on the same colour and design remaining available. If you think you may want to add to a suite in future, it is safest to buy the pieces together where possible, or call 02476 705 600 to check what can be ordered separately.
