Maple Suede Electric Recliner Sofas

What is the Maple electric recliner range?

The Maple range is our collection of soft, durable suede-fabric electric recliner sofas, designed for comfortable everyday family living. Every seat reclines at the touch of a button, and the range is offered in a choice of colours and a full spread of sizes, from a single armchair up to large matching sets — so you can shop the whole range in one place and pick the colour, size and layout that suit your room. To see the wider choice of reclining seating across the store, our recliner sofa sets collection is a good place to start.

What material is the Maple range — is it leather?

No — Maple sofas are upholstered in suede fabric, a soft, brushed fabric with a suede-like feel. It's a fabric, not leather: it isn't genuine leather, and it isn't a leather-look material like Leather Aire or faux leather either. Suede fabric is warm and cosy to sit on, hard-wearing in daily use, and its texture helps disguise everyday marks — which is part of why the range works so well in family rooms. If you'd prefer a wipe-clean leather look instead, see our leather sofas.

The Maple range in brown

In brown, Maple is a warm, versatile choice that hides everyday marks well and pairs easily with wood tones and neutral schemes — a popular, low-stress option for family rooms. Browse the full Maple Brown collection to see the sizes and sets available in this colour.

The Maple range in grey

In grey, Maple is a cool, contemporary neutral that suits almost any scheme; a mid-to-dark grey wears well day to day, while a very light grey shows more and rewards a prompt cleaning routine. Browse the full Maple Grey collection to see the sizes and sets available in this colour.

More colours may be available in the Maple range — the full choice, and current stock in each colour, is shown in the product grid above.

How does the electric recliner work?

Every seat in the Maple range is powered, so you recline it using a simple button or handset rather than a manual lever, and you can stop at any point to find the position that suits you. Because the recliner runs on a motor, the sofa needs to sit within reach of a mains socket, and it simply plugs in on delivery. If you'd prefer a handle-operated recliner without a socket, our wider recliner ranges include manual options, and for powered chairs specifically see our electric recliner chairs.

Which sizes and combinations are available?

Across its colours, the Maple range comes as a single recliner armchair, a 2 seater and a 3 seater, plus matching sofa set combinations such as 2+2, 3+2, 3+3 and 3+2+1, with more layouts besides. A single 2 seater or armchair suits smaller rooms, while a 3+3 or 3+2+1 gives a busy family plenty of reclining seats. For coordinated multi-piece options across the store, our sofa sets collection shows the full choice of combinations.

Built for family life — durable and pet-friendly

The Maple range is a genuine family sofa. The suede-effect fabric is soft and warm but also hard-wearing, so it stands up to daily use, and its brushed texture helps disguise the everyday marks that come with children and pets far better than a pale, flat finish would. The powered recline means there are no stiff handles for smaller hands to wrestle, and the well-padded seats are made for settling in. A 3 seater is the most popular family size — you can see the wider choice on our 3 seater sofas page.

How to choose the right size or set

Measure your space first and, because these are recliners, leave clearance behind each seat for the backrest to tilt and in front for the footrest to extend. A 2 seater suits smaller rooms; a 3 seater is the everyday family choice; and a 2+2 or 3+3 set works best in larger or open-plan living rooms where several people want to recline at once. Remember to plan for a socket within reach, as every seat is powered. Our team can talk the same choices through with you in more detail if you would like a hand.

How to care for a suede fabric sofa

Suede fabric is easy to look after with a simple, regular routine — and, because it's a fabric, it's cared for differently from leather. Vacuum it regularly on a low setting or with an upholstery brush to lift dust from the pile, and give it an occasional brush to keep the texture even. Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth rather than rubbing, working from the outside in, and avoid soaking the fabric. For marks, use a cleaner suitable for suede-effect upholstery, test it on a hidden area first, and check your sofa's care label for the recommended cleaning code. For other fabric finishes across the store, see our fabric sofas range.

Are the sofas fire-safe?

Yes. Every sofa in the Maple range meets UK Fire Resistant (UKFR) standards, so the materials and construction comply with the fire-safety regulations required for upholstered furniture sold in the UK. This is a baseline legal requirement rather than an optional extra, and it applies across every colour, size and set in the range.

How long does delivery take?

Most in-stock Maple sofas are delivered within 7–10 working days, with free delivery. Delivery is carried out by a two-person team who bring the sofa into your chosen ground-floor room, access permitting, and set it in place; old sofa removal can be arranged if you'd like your existing seating taken away at the same time. Powered sofas simply plug into a mains socket on arrival. Because a full recliner set is a larger delivery, it's worth measuring doorways, hallways and stairwells in advance. Full timescales and coverage are on our delivery information page.

Can you spread the cost with finance?

Yes. You can spread the cost of any Maple sofa or set using one of our named finance providers, all subject to credit check. Simply select your preferred option at checkout; the exact terms for your order are shown before you confirm. Full details are on our finance options page.

Finance is provided by third parties and is subject to status and affordability checks. Missing payments may affect your credit rating.
