How many people does a three-seater sofa seat?

A three-seater typically seats two or three people, depending on the width of the sofa and the depth of the seats. It's the most popular size and suits most living rooms. Check the overall width and seat dimensions on the product page to judge how comfortably it will seat your household.

What materials do the three-seaters come in?

Leather, genuine leather, fabric, velvet and suede. We describe each sofa by the material its title confirms, keeping them distinct — genuine leather only where titled, the Chesterfield "Antique" sofas as a bonded leather look, suede treated separately from fabric and leather, and velvet as a distinct fabric. Check each product page for its exact material.

What's the difference between genuine leather and other leather sofas?

Where a sofa is titled "Genuine Leather" (for example Dalmore, Vantage, Cidliano, Dandrea and Renato), it's full-hide leather. Other leather sofas whose grade isn't stated in the title are described simply as leather. We don't upgrade an unstated grade to "genuine", so check the product page for the exact material of the sofa you're considering.

Do you have reclining three-seater sofas?

Yes — both manual recliners, which you adjust by hand and need nothing plugged in, and electric (powered) recliners, which move at the touch of a button and need a mains socket nearby with the cable routed safely. Reclining sofas need clearance in front for the footrest and behind for the backrest unless designed to sit close to the wall.

How do I choose between manual and electric recliners?

A manual recliner is adjusted by hand and needs no power; an electric recliner moves at the touch of a button and needs a socket nearby. Choose based on whether you'd prefer powered ease of use or a simpler manual mechanism. Both need clearance to recline — check each product's details for how it operates and any features.

How do I measure for a three-seater sofa?

Take the sofa's overall width, depth and height (and reclined depth for a recliner) from the product page, and mark the footprint on your floor. Then measure doorways, hallways, turns and stairs at the narrowest point for access, as a three-seater is a large single piece. Call us on 02476 705 600 if access looks tight before you order.

What are the dimensions of a three-seater?

Exact dimensions vary by range, so we don't quote a single figure here — please take the width, depth and height from the individual product page. If you'd like a specific sofa's measurements confirmed before ordering, call our team on 02476 705 600 and we'll check them for you.

Which three-seaters are currently in stock?

Most three-seaters are in stock and ready to order, and some are currently out of stock. Availability is shown live on each product, so check there for the current position. If a sofa you like is out of stock, you can register to be notified when it returns, or ask our team about a similar in-stock alternative.

Can I register for a back-in-stock alert?

Yes — where a three-seater is out of stock, you can register to be notified when it comes back into stock, using the "notify me" option on the product. In the meantime our team can suggest a similar in-stock sofa in the colour and material you're after; call 02476 705 600.

Do you sell three-seater sofa sets as well?

Yes — matching sofa sets that include a three-seater (for example a 3+3, or a three-seater with a two-seater or armchairs) are in our sofa sets collection. If you're furnishing a whole room, a set keeps everything coordinated and is usually better value than buying pieces separately. Browse the sofa sets collection for the full choice.

Do you have three-seater sofa beds?

Some three-seaters double as sofa beds; where a product is titled as a sofa bed, check its page for how it converts and the bed size it makes, as mechanisms and opened-out sizes vary. For the full choice of sofa beds, see our sofa beds collection rather than this three-seater listing.

What colours are available?

A wide choice — neutral creams and light greys, contemporary mid and dark greys and blacks, warm tans, caramels, chocolates and browns, plus statement tones such as red, blue and green on some Chesterfield sofas. Colour availability depends on current stock, so check the live position on each sofa, and view it in the showroom if the exact shade matters.

Are the prices shown fixed?

Prices vary by range and some sofas carry current promotions, so we don't quote fixed figures here — always take the current price and any saving from the live product page, which is the authoritative source at the time you order. Some Outlet listings show different prices; check the individual product for details.

How should I care for a leather, suede or fabric three-seater?

Follow the product-specific instructions first. In general: wipe leather with a damp cloth and buff dry; brush suede with a suede brush and keep it away from water; vacuum fabric gently and blot spills; and brush or vacuum velvet gently in the direction of the pile. For all materials, avoid harsh chemicals and prolonged direct sunlight. Our upholstery-care guide has more.

How quickly is delivery?

Delivery is free to England and Wales by a two-person team, and the timeframe is shown on each product card — it can vary by range, so please take it from the product page for the sofa you're considering rather than assuming one date. If you'd like the current lead time confirmed, call our team on 02476 705 600.

Are finance options available?

Yes — you can spread the cost with our interest-free finance options, including PayPal Pay in 3, Klarna, Clearpay and DivideBuy, subject to credit check. Current providers and terms are shown on our finance information page and at checkout, so you can choose the plan that suits your budget. Call 02476 705 600 if you'd like help.

Can I return a three-seater sofa?

Yes — our 14-day change-of-mind returns policy applies, and conditions apply. Please see our returns information page for the full current terms and how to arrange a return, bearing in mind a three-seater is a large piece, or call our team on 02476 705 600 to talk it through first.

Do the sofas need assembly?

Any assembly requirement varies by sofa and isn't summarised here, so please check the individual product page or ask our team on 02476 705 600 for what's involved in setting up a particular three-seater, so you know what to expect on delivery before you order.

Can I see the sofas in person?

Yes — you're welcome to visit our Coventry showroom at 440–450 Stoney Stanton Road, CV6 5DG, to see the materials and colours and try the sofas, which is especially useful for judging exact shades and comfort. Call 02476 705 600 for opening times and to check a particular range is on display.
