What Is Charcoal, and How Is It Different From Grey?

Charcoal is a dark grey with a slight warmth — deeper than mid grey, softer than black.

How Much Space Do You Need?

That depends on the configuration rather than the range, since every Valerie piece is a standard size for its type.

Measure each position separately rather than adding widths together, because the pieces will not sit in a line. Mark the footprints on the floor with tape if the room is tight. How Do You Measure Doorways, Hallways, Stairs and Lifts?

Measure the narrowest point on the whole route rather than just the front door: door width and height, hallway width, the tightest turn, and any stair landing you have to pivot on.

How Do You Care for Charcoal Fabric?

Vacuum regularly with an upholstery attachment, working into the seams. Blot spills immediately rather than rubbing, which spreads the mark and flattens the weave.

Two things are specific to a dark shade. Charcoal hides everyday marks well — a real advantage in a busy room. But it shows dust and pale pet hair more than a mid tone. Keep it out of strong sunlight, which lifts dark fabric toward grey, unevenly.

Can You Add to a Valerie Set Later?

This is one of the better ranges for it, because every piece is sold separately and the whole range is currently available.

Two cautions. Fabric from different production runs can vary slightly in tone, so a piece bought a year later may not match exactly — a set is made and delivered together, which removes that risk. How Long Does Delivery Take?

Most in-stock items arrive within 7–10 working days, free to England and Wales, by a two-person employed team rather than a courier. They bring every piece into your chosen ground-floor room where access allows and fit any feet on site.
